This is everything we collect, why, and who else handles it. Alec Greene, trading as Bassonic Wizard, of Chicago, Illinois, USA, is responsible for it. The short version: we keep what we need to sell you the plugin and keep it working, nothing that tracks you, and we never sell any of it.
What we collect
When you buy
Checkout happens on Stripe's own page. Stripe collects your payment details and we never see or store them. From Stripe we receive your email address and Stripe's reference numbers for the payment, which we keep with the license key we issue you, so we can deliver the key, find your purchase and refund it.
When you use the plugin
To start a free trial or activate a license, the plugin sends us:
- your license key, when activating;
- a fingerprint of your computer. We store only a one-way hash of it, which cannot be turned back into anything about your hardware. It is how a license counts its 3 computers and how each computer gets one trial;
- the name of your computer and its operating system, as the plugin reports them, so you can tell your computers apart in your account;
and we record when each computer first activated or started its trial and when it last checked in. The plugin sends nothing about what you play, record or load it on.
If you make an account
Your email address, used to sign you in with a link. Accounts are run on Supabase, which keeps the sign-in records any login system keeps, such as when you signed in and from which network address.
If you join the pre-launch list
Your email address and when you joined.
When you visit the site
We hold your network address in memory for at most an hour, to stop any one visitor overwhelming the store, and never write it down. Our hosting and database providers keep standard request logs of their own.
What we do not do
- No analytics, no advertising, and no tracking cookies. The only thing this site stores in your browser is your sign-in, if you sign in. Stripe's checkout page sets its own cookies to prevent fraud.
- We never sell, rent or trade anything about you.
- We email you only about what you asked for: your key, sign-in links, and one message when the plugin launches if you joined the list.
Who else handles it
- Stripe takes payments and handles refunds.
- Supabase hosts our database, accounts and installer files.
- Resend delivers the emails we send, such as your license key. Sign-in links are sent through Supabase.
- Our hosting provider runs the website and its servers.
Each processes what they need to do that job for us. These services are based in the United States, so your information is processed there.
How long we keep it
- Purchases and licenses: for as long as the license exists, and as long as tax and accounting rules require after that.
- Computer hashes, names and operating systems: with the license or trial they belong to. Computers you free from a license stay in its record, so a key cannot be cycled through endless computers. Trial records are kept so a computer cannot start a second trial.
- Accounts: until you ask us to delete yours.
- The pre-launch list: until the launch email goes out, or until you ask to be removed.
Your choices
You can ask to see what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, by emailing [email protected]. Deleting your account does not delete the record of a purchase, which we keep for tax and so your license keeps working; we will tell you exactly what remains. Depending on where you live, the law may give you further rights, and we will honor them.
Children
The store is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything about them.
Changes
If what we collect changes, this page changes first, and the date above shows when.
